Be prepared to experience disturbance

I am an ordained Catholic priest. After 8 years of preparation, I was ordained. I felt prepared in every area, preaching, teaching, worship, etc., all, except hospital ministry. I was really, really inadequate in that area. Where do I get assigned to minister? A church that’s covering multiple hospitals and I get assigned to dedicate 50% of my ministry time to hospital visitation! I tried to get out of it or even share it, or reduce it, whatever. I was told it was my assignment, just accept it. I surrendered it to the Divine Physician after much prayer and with a generous dose of obedience, I knew that, any success, had to be His. I was even recognized for my hospital ministry a few years later. Not my ways but His. Not my will but His. Still learning to seek only His presence in my life.
