God will provide!

This is a rather long testimony, but I will shorten it as much as I can. Many years ago, when movies were rented from the local video store a movie came out that was filmed in my mom's hometown of Fernandina Beach Florida. My mom asked my sister to ask me to pick it up for her on my way home from work. Traffic had been exceptionally bad that night so, when I got my sister's call, I told her I didn't have any cash with me, and I was tired and would do it the next night. As soon as I hung up, I felt conviction and so decided to stop anyway. I didn't have any cash, so I was going to use my credit card but unfortunately there were no copies of the movie left, and I thought "Well that was a real waste of my time." However, when I stepped out the door I saw him. He got up from sitting on the sidewalk and started walking toward me and I knew he was going to ask for money. He told me he was a veteran and homeless and just needed something to get some food. I told him I didn't have any cash and stuck my hand in my pocket to pull it out and show him I didn't. When I put my hand in though I felt a bill. I thought probably a dollar that I had left in my pants when they were washed, but when I pulled it out it was a ten-dollar bill. I will give to the needy when I am led but never $10.00. What a dilemma. I was not exactly rolling in the cash in those days so that was a lot for me to give away. But GOD had provided for it so I gave it to him. you would have thought I gave him $1,000.00 the way he thanked me and was so grateful. So now, feeling pretty good about myself I decided to go to the Chinese restaurant next door and buy myself and my sister some take-out. I placed the order and when it came time for the checkout, I pulled out my credit card and I heard a voice behind me yelling, "Don't take his money, I'm buying that!! I turned around to see a rather well-off lady from my church who paid the bill not only for my dinner, but my sister's as well. I believe He sent me to the video store to feed a hungry homeless, veteran. So, He not only provided for the homeless veteran through me, but He also then more than doubled the value back to me through the lady from church. Luke 6:38, Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
