Healing power of Jesus Christ

At age 17 I had an accident and broke my neck at level C4/C5. The result was total paralysis from the neck down with only slight ability to move my left shoulder. In the emergency room the doctor told me that the best I could expect was to someday be able to feed myself with my left hand. A 17-year-old athlete was not ready to hear that diagnosis. The next morning the doctor arrived and stated he was "pleasantly surprised that I was still alive" and they were going to take me to surgery. The surgery was performed to fuse my neck with a bone fragment taken from my hip. The surgery was successful, but the prognosis was still the same. t was very hard for me to understand how badly I had been injured and that I would never walk again. Needless to say, that people were praying for me from everywhere. My classmates, my family and church friends and people I did not even know were praying for me that had read about the injury in the newspaper. After a day or two doctors while checking my ability to feel touch on my chest were seeing improvement as the ability moved lower and lower on my chest. The doctors then ordered physical and occupational therapy, and the prognosis was a little better but not much. On the 7th day in ICU X-rays showed that the initial surgery had "slipped" probably due to repositioning me in the bed to prevent bedsores and another surgery was done right away. It was again a very successful surgery, and improvement started to be much more rapid, and prayers of hope increased daily. After 45 days in the hospital, I was finally released to go home, and I was able to walk with the aid of a walker. I continually prayed for complete healing and after about a year I was walking, running and leading a normal life again. Never question the power of prayer and the healing we received from the life given on the cross.
