Manna Monday,
Manna is one of those images in Scripture that quietly reshapes how you see God. It wasn’t flashy or dramatic, it was daily, faithful, and sufficient. When Israel stepped into the wilderness, they stepped into a place where nothing could sustain them except God Himself. And every morning, without fail, heaven touched earth in the form of small, white flakes that reminded them: God provides exactly what you need, exactly when you need it. Manna was mercy you could gather.
Manna also taught Israel to trust. They couldn’t store it, save it, or control it. Yesterday’s manna wouldn’t carry into tomorrow. God was training their hearts to depend on Him one day at a time. In a world that pressures you to stockpile security, Jesus still whispers the same lesson: “Give us this day our daily bread.” Not weekly. Not monthly. Daily. The God who fed Israel in the wilderness is the God who meets you in your need, not with excess, but with sufficiency.
And ultimately, manna pointed forward to Christ. Jesus said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.” The manna in Exodus sustained bodies; the manna in John 6 sustains souls. When you come to Him, you receive life that doesn’t spoil, strength that doesn’t fade, and grace that meets you fresh every morning. Just like Israel gathered manna at dawn, you gather Christ’s mercy at the start of each day — enough for the journey, enough for the battle, enough for whatever wilderness you’re walking through.
Don't just love Him. Live Him.Don't just LVE Him.LVE Him.
