Jesus Wept!

John 11:35 Jesus wept. 36 Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!” While John 11:35 Is the shortest in the bible it is certainly is one of the most powerful. As kids we all learned the songs Jesus Loves Me and Jesus Loves the Little Children, but do we really stop and think about what that means? Several years ago, while saying my evening prayers, it dawned on me that these are not just lyrics but deep devotional principals. Verse 36 bears out the meaning of loving someone to the point of weeping over them. Webster defines devotion as "Very loving and loyal." Is that how you feel about Jesus? We all say we love him but the tag line to the LIVEHIM website is "Don't just love Him... Live Him!" Do we truly base ALL of our thoughts and actions every minute of the day on living for Jesus? I confess I fail at some point every day and have to go back and repent over my thoughts or actions. LIVEHIM was created to be a reminder that we cannot just turn Him on or off whenever the situations we face cause us to stumble. I use it as a catch phrase to remind me that whatever action I take needs to glorify Him. What situation have you faced where LIVEHIM kept you from stumbling or brought you to repentance?
